Shipping and Handling Returns and Refunds

It may not seem that way when shopping online, but believe it or not - there are live people behind this website When in doubt - just drop us a message and you may be surprised with the response

And as usual, live delivery for plants is guaranteed all year around. (Disclaimer: this applies to live plants only; synthetic plants cannot be brought to life no matter what...)

Shipping and Handling


Order Delivery Time

Normally, if the items you order are in stock, your package will be shipped in 3-5 business days. Anything longer than that for any reason - and you will be surely notified.


Shipping & Handling Fees for Continental USA

When you order dry goods only (and by "dry goods" we mean anything that's not live plants, even if it's something liquid, fertilizers for example ), we base our shipping fees on the dollar value of your order as follows:

When your order includes live plants, be it on their own or in combination with dry good items, shipping and handling fee is flat $13.79. Also, in such a case, your order may (or may not) be shipped in separate boxes (and at different times). Shipping and handling cost though always stays the same for you. We do reserve the right to pick the most appropriate carrier to deliver your package (i.e., send it via USPS Priority service even though invoice states FedEx Ground, etc.).

Delivery to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands

We do ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands states. When you order dry goods only, we base our shipping fees on the dollar value of your order as follows:

Out of Stock Items

Unfortunately, as with any retail business, we do run out of stock on products sometimes.

We will not hold your order due to an out of stock item. We will fulfill the rest of your order and ship the package to you. The out-of-stock item will be placed on backorder to be shipped at a later date.

Live Plant Shipping

  • We guarantee that you will receive your aquarium plants in good condition. If there is ever a problem please contact us - we will ask you to return the damaged items. Your plants will be replaced immediately and also we will put in some free plants to compensate you for your troubles.

  • All orders are shipped by USPS Priority Mail . We charge $13.79 flat fee for continental United States and $24.79 for the rest of the country, which covers postage, insulation materials, and packing labor.

  • We ship only within the United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, etc.

  • Please allow 10-14 days for delivery - here is why. We collect our customers' orders for live plants during a week and then once a week we request all these plants from our nursery. We receive shipment of plants, package them for the retail, and mail them to our customers.

    Normally, plants, ordered before Monday 7 PM Eastern Time, will ship the following Saturday for the most probable arrival on the following Monday.

    We understand that this method of operation is slow but it has two significant benefits for our customers:

    - This allows us to maintain the lowest prices on the Internet because there is no stocking and/or plant care overhead.
    - There is simply no faster way for you to receive plants directly from a plant nursery: nurseries do not sell their plants retail, wholesale only.

    Receiving plants directly from a nursery insures the highest plant quality - it takes only five days from the moment when the plants are still growing underwater in the most optimal conditions to a moment they arrive to you.

  • We believe our inexpensive shipping is perfect for you. You are guaranteed live delivery for low overhead cost.

  • Because of the unfortunate specifics of online business we may be forced to substitute a plant or two. We will do our very best to give a substitute that is satisfactory and we always give some free extra plants with any substitution.

  • Please understand when making an order that plants, which you will receive, may not look exactly like the ones we have on our site's pictures. There are many reasons for that. The main two being that most aquarium plants are amphibious, and even though they will feel very well in your aquarium being submersed, they are usually grown emmersed in plant nurseries and differ in shapes from the same submersed plants (primary example of such being Ludwigia arcuata; you will rarely receive the needle-like Takashi Amano style variety). Also, each plant has many varieties, and even scientists themselves sometimes cannot decide either two plants, which look similar, are indeed two different plants or they are just varieties of a single one.

  • We ship young plants! This means that even if at first they may seem small in size they will be able to survive the shipping and adapt to your aquarium environment better than the older ones. Give them a chance - they will grow to be gorgeous!

  • You can pay with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover credit card, PayPal, or electronic check for your order. Also, you can pay with a personal check or a money order.

    To pay by a check you need to select corresponding option during check out and fill in the requested data. You do not need to mail the actual check, we will debit your account electronically. Unfortunately, we have to impose $25 service fee for non-sufficient fund situations so please make sure you have enough money to pay for the plants Smile!

    Our Return Policy

    This outlet is going out of business. All sales are final unless a product you receive is defective, in which case you will need to contact manufacturer of the product and we will help you with that.
